Peerby is an app for Android and iOS that enables consumers in cities to borrow the products they need in 30 minutes or less by asking around in their neighborhood. With Peerby you don't have to spend money on things you only need once or once in a while and you get to feel good by helping someone out. We have over 1,5MM items of inventory and 100,000 members in more than 20 European cities. Many companies have tried and failed, but we are the ones who cracked it. Research shows that people experience more joy from giving that from receiving. That’s what we are seeing at Peerby as well. Supply is booming and most users are willing to lend products to their neighbors for free. That’s why our revenue model is based on insurance. Both borrower and lender are covered against damage, loss and theft, for a daily fee that’s paid by the borrower.
