SNTMNT has developed a combination of filters and algorithms that can predict share price movements based on Twitter sentiment. Using our sentiment analysis we give investors an additional trading indicator on top of regular fundamental and technical analysis. Our product is available in three forms: 1. Accessible via an API 2. Accessible to brokers as sentiment analysis dashboard (for their clients) 3. For us to set up proprietary trading strategies The methodology that we apply is best explained in three steps: Step 1 - Sentiment Analysis We filter and classify Twitter feeds surrounding individual companies on both financial sentiment and brand sentiment. Step 2 - Reach and Authority We score authors on authority level and expertise. Step 3 - Machine Learning We use machine learning methods, including robust non-linear models, to look at correlations between Twitter sentiment, author authority and the share price, resulting in a prediction.
